Bull Festival Lesvos – The Ancient Ritual of Agia Paraskevi
The Bull Festival of Agia Paraskevi on Lesvos is one of Greece's most ancient surviving folk rituals. Since 1774, late June or early July brings a decorated bull sacrifice, free communal Kiskek feasting, horse racing and all-night dancing to this remarkable island village.
