Welcome to the Bottroper Weihnachtszauber 2026 in Bottrop
From 12 November to 20 December 2026, the city centre of Bottrop transforms into a festive Christmas village on weekends. On Ernst-Wilczok-Platz in front of the historic town hall, Mensingplatz and along Hansastraße, the Bottroper Weihnachtszauber offers a cosy family meeting place in the heart of the Ruhr area with tradition, crafts and winter atmosphere.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Bottroper Weihnachtszauber runs from 12 November to 20 December 2026. On Rathausplatz (Ernst-Wilczok-Platz) the market opens Thursdays and Fridays from 17:00–22:00, Saturdays 15:00–22:00 and Sundays 15:00–20:00. Along Hansastraße and on Mensingplatz hours are longer: Monday to Friday 11:00–21:00, Saturdays 11:00–21:00 and Sundays 15:00–20:00 (Totensonntag 22 November: 18:00–20:00). Highlights include the Anglühen on 12 and 13 November and the Abglühen on 19 and 20 December. The programme features live music, activities for children and adults, bauble painting and ice stock lanes.
