3daysofdesign Copenhagen 2027: Scandinavia's Premier Design Festival

From 9 to 11 June 2027, Copenhagen once again becomes the global centre of the design world. 3daysofdesign is Denmark's official design festival and the most significant annual design event in Scandinavia and Northern Europe. Over 60,000 visitors from around the world travel to Copenhagen each year to discover new products, collections and ideas across furniture, lighting, materials and interior design, presented in showrooms, galleries, studios and public spaces across the city. Admission is free and the festival is open to everyone.

What is 3daysofdesign?

Founded in 2013 by four Danish design brands, the festival has grown into a major international platform under CEO Signe Byrdal Terenziani. The 2026 edition featured over 460 exhibiting brands, more than 570 exhibitions and nearly 900 individual events. Rather than taking place in a single venue, the festival unfolds across 8 design districts throughout the entire city, including Nordhavn, the Old Town, Islands Brygge and other creative neighbourhoods of Copenhagen.

The 8 Design Districts

The festival spans eight individually curated city districts, each with its own design character. Nordhavn, Copenhagen's futuristic harbour district, showcases sustainable urban development and design innovation. The Old Town (Rosengård) connects historic architecture with contemporary design. Islands Brygge demonstrates how former industrial areas can become vibrant creative hubs. Each district has a central i-Point with maps, programme information and personal guidance from festival staff.

Program and Event Formats

Across the three festival days, 3daysofdesign offers a wide range of formats for different interests. Product launches provide exclusive previews of upcoming collections in furniture, lighting, kitchen, bathroom and accessories. Design Talks and symposia bring together international designers, architects and curators to discuss trends, sustainability and the future of design. Guided district tours help visitors navigate the extensive programme. Networking events and exclusive dinners are also available for industry professionals.

Admission & Tickets

The 3daysofdesign festival is completely free to attend. Showrooms, galleries, exhibitions and design talks are all open without pre-registration. Separate tickets may be required for selected evening events, dinners and symposia. Full programme details and ticketing for individual events are available via the official festival app and website, which includes a free QR ticket system for specific events.
