Welcome to AachenSeptemberSpecial 2027 in Aachen
After a pause in 2026, when Aachen instead hosted a supporting program for the equestrian World Championship, AachenSeptemberSpecial 2027 returns to the historic center of Aachen. This long running city festival turns the squares around the cathedral and town hall into a stage for live music, food and culture over several days, all completely free to attend.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
AachenSeptemberSpecial traditionally runs from Thursday to Sunday across several venues in the city center, including the main stage on the Markt, the Katschhof and the Elisengarten. Alongside concerts in many genres, the program regularly includes a science slam, stage shows and a large Mobility Special. The exact 2027 dates and the full program and line up have not yet been announced and will be published on the official website closer to the event.

AachenSeptemberSpecial has always been a free city festival. Admission to all stages and activity areas in the city center is free of charge; only food, drinks and individual attractions such as the Ferris wheel are paid on site.
