Welcome to the Aachen Christmas Market 2026

From 20 November to 23 December 2026, the squares and narrow streets surrounding the Aachen Cathedral and the historic Town Hall are transformed into a festive winter wonderland. Celebrating its 53rd edition, the market attracts over a million visitors each year with its incomparable historical backdrop and the ubiquitous scent of the famous Aachener Printen (spiced gingerbread).

Program

The market spans across the main Markt, Katschhof, Münsterplatz, Krämerstraße, and Holzgraben. Open daily from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, visitors can soak up the festive atmosphere. Alongside handcrafted souvenirs, the gastronomic offerings are a major highlight. On Totensonntag (Sunday of the Dead, 22 November), the market opens later at 6:00 PM, and on 12 December, it stays open late for extended festivities until 10:00 PM.
