Welcome to the Reichsstädter Advent 2026 in Aalen
The Reichsstädter Advent (formerly known as Aalener Weihnachtsland) takes place from 25 November to 23 December 2026 on Spritzenhausplatz in the heart of Aalen. The traditional Christmas market atmosphere with mulled wine, winter specialities and daily live music by brass bands and ensembles invites visitors to linger. Daily opening hours: Sunday to Wednesday 11:00–20:00, Thursday to Saturday 11:00–21:00.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Reichsstädter Advent offers a dense programme throughout the Advent season. On weekends and selected weekdays, brass bands, big bands, choirs and performing artists provide festive entertainment on the stage at the Regenbaum. Families can enjoy regular fairy tales and winter stories, craft activities and visits from St. Nicholas and Santa Claus. Mondays often feature animal encounters, Tuesdays are special family days. The chalets and stalls continuously offer mulled wine, savoury and sweet specialities as well as handmade gifts.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Aalen
- Arrival by train to Aalen station is convenient; Spritzenhausplatz is within walking distance in the city centre. Parking is available in the surrounding multi-storey car parks (e.g. Spritzenhausplatz).
- Warm, weatherproof clothing and sturdy shoes are recommended – Advent in Baden-Württemberg can be cool and damp.
- Book accommodation in the city centre or nearby early, as Advent weekends are well attended.
