From 28 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, Varaždin's historic baroque city center transforms into a cozy winter wonderland. Serving as a warm, intimate alternative to Zagreb, this Christmas market focuses heavily on local sweets, acoustic music, romantic lighting, and authentic holiday traditions.

Program
Spanning multiple charming squares, the market opens daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Alongside wooden vendor stalls offering handmade crafts and local art, visitors can enjoy cookie-baking workshops, festive street performances, and the unfolding of the giant Advent calendar throughout December.
Tickets
Admission to the Varaždin Christmas market area is completely free of charge. Separate minor fees apply only if you wish to ride the Ferris wheel or use the ice-skating rink.
