Alongside the craft market in the historic cellar vaults and courtyard, visitors can join winter castle tours and enjoy a program for younger guests. Tickets and Admission for the 2026 Christmas Market

For the 2025 edition, admission was 8.00 euros for adults and 5.50 euros at the reduced rate, which applied to seniors, groups, students and teenagers aged 16 to 18. Visitor Tips: Travel and Accommodation near Forchtenstein

  • Parking directly at the castle is very limited, with the main parking area located at Industriegelände 28 in Forchtenstein
  • A free shuttle bus typically runs every 30 minutes between the parking area and the castle
  • Late November usually brings cold, sometimes wintry weather, so warm clothing is recommended
  • Accommodation in the Rosalia region or nearby Mattersburg should be booked early for the first advent weekend
  • Visitors covering several regional markets can easily combine a trip with a stop in Lackenbach or Bad Sauerbrunn
