Welcome to the Aegina Fistiki Fest 2026
On the Saronic island of Aegina, just a short ferry ride from Piraeus, one ingredient takes center stage once a year: the world famous Aegina pistachio. The harbor promenade of the island's main town turns into a colorful market of stalls, live music and the aroma of roasted fistiki drifting through the streets. Founded by the Municipality of Aegina in 2008, the festival has grown into one of the largest food celebrations in the Saronic Gulf.

Program
The heart of the Fistiki Fest is the agricultural trade fair on the harbor, where local growers and cooperatives showcase the Aegina pistachio, a product recognized as a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) by the European Union since 1996. During the day, cooking shows put pistachios at the center of the menu, while evenings bring live bands to the promenade. Alongside the main fair, the festival includes exhibitions, children's activities and guided tours to the island's historic sites. Opening hours vary slightly by day, with stalls generally open from late morning into the evening.
Tickets
Access to the festival grounds along the harbor is free. Tastings at the stalls as well as most demonstrations and exhibitions are also free of charge; individual pistachio products at the market stalls are, of course, sold for a price.
