During Advent 2026, Aichach transforms into a festive winter town. The Aichacher Christkindlmarkt around the historic town hall, the atmospheric Advent by the Fire at Schloss Blumenthal and the Baked Apple Festival at Mahl’s Obsthof invite visitors from late November to late December to enjoy mulled wine, crafts and authentic Bavarian Christmas atmosphere. All markets are free to enter.

Aichacher Christkindlmarkt 2026

The Aichacher Christkindlmarkt takes place from 27 November to 29 December 2026 around the historic town hall on the Stadtplatz. The square turns into a magical Christmas forest with around 30 huts offering Advent decorations, Christmas tree ornaments, nativity accessories and culinary specialities such as mulled wine, punch, bratwurst rolls and honey gingerbread. On weekends, a varied supporting programme with live music creates a festive atmosphere. Opening hours: Monday to Thursday 17:00–20:00, Friday 17:00–21:00, Saturday 16:00–21:00 and Sunday 14:00–20:00/21:00. The market is closed on 24 and 25 December and open on 26 December from 16:00 to 21:00. From 1 December, St. Nicholas and his angels open a window of the town hall Advent calendar every day at 17:30.

Advent by the Fire at Schloss Blumenthal 2026

From 27 November 2026, the atmospheric “Advent by the Fire” takes place every Advent weekend (Saturdays and Sundays) from 14:00 to 18:00 in the winter beer garden of Schloss Blumenthal. Visitors enjoy stick bread and hot punch by the open fire, while children can decorate gingerbread with their parents in the warm yurt. A winter fairy tale creates a cosy Advent atmosphere. Baked Apple Festival with Craft Market 2026

From 5 December 2026, the Baked Apple Festival with craft market at Mahl’s Obsthof in Haunsried invites visitors to get into the Advent spirit. In a festive setting, guests can enjoy baked apples, Schupfnudeln, Dampfnudeln as well as homemade (children’s) punch and the legendary Himbi (raspberry punch with a shot).
