The Altötting Christmas Market 2026 takes place from 27 November to 20 December 2026 on the historic Kapellplatz in Altötting, Germany. Surrounded by the Chapel of Grace and baroque church buildings, the market offers a unique Advent atmosphere with sparkling lights, traditional handicrafts and culinary specialities. Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Altötting Christmas Market 2026 runs continuously from 27 November to 20 December. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 20:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 20:00. Food stalls remain open until 21:00. St. Nicholas visits the market daily at 17:00. The ceremonial opening takes place on 27 November at 17:30. On 19 December 2026 the traditional St. Nicholas pilgrimage with mass and procession is held. Brass ensembles, choirs and Advent concerts enrich the programme.
