Welcome to the Ambräusianum Bock Beer Tapping 2026 in Bamberg
On 26 November 2026 from 17:00 the traditional Bock beer tapping takes place at Gasthausbrauerei Ambräusianum in Bamberg. Right in the historic old town on Dominikanerstraße, guests can enjoy the freshly brewed seasonal Bock beer straight from the source – at one of the few genuine brewpubs in the UNESCO World Heritage city.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Bock beer tapping on 26 November 2026 starts at 17:00 and continues within regular opening hours until approximately 23:00. Guests experience the traditional tapping of the strong winter beer, can taste the freshly brewed product and enjoy typical Franconian dishes. Ambräusianum has been Bamberg’s first brewpub since 2004 and offers a special experience as the beer is brewed right in front of the guests. The event marks the start of the colder season and fits perfectly into the city’s Advent atmosphere.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Bamberg
- Getting there: Centrally located in the old town – easily reachable on foot from many hotels and the train station; use public transport and nearby multi-storey car parks.
- Weatherproof clothing is recommended as it can already be cool in Bamberg at the end of November; the interior is comfortably warm.
- Arrive early or make a reservation, as the tapping is usually well attended.
- Combine with a stroll through the illuminated old town or a visit to the Bamberg Christmas Market (from 24 November).
- Monday is a rest day – the tapping is deliberately scheduled on a Thursday.
