Welcome to the Annakirmes 2027 in Düren

The Annakirmes is Düren’s major folk festival from 31 July to 8 August 2027 and one of the best-known fairs in the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion. On Annakirmesplatz by the Rur, about 160 to 170 showmen, traders and food stalls turn the grounds into a funfair for nine days. Admission to the site is free; visitors pay for rides, games and food.

The City of Düren sets the start for Saturday, 31 July 2027, at 12:00: three cannon shots, then 15 minutes of free rides until 12:15. The same morning at 09:00 the Anna Octave opens in St. Anne’s Church. The fair grew out of devotion to Saint Anne. The relic of her head reached Düren in 1501, a pilgrimage market followed, and the present funfair took shape over the centuries. It has been held on the current grounds since 1892.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

Annakirmes 2027 runs from Saturday, 31 July, to Sunday, 8 August. Under the schedule pattern published by the city, opening Saturday starts at 12:00 and runs until about 02:00. Sundays usually open at 11:00, and Family Day also starts at 11:00; other days generally open at 12:00. Midweek closing is often around 00:30, Thursday to Saturday often near 02:00, and the final Sunday at midnight. Daily times on dueren.de remain the binding source if the city adjusts them.

Games of skill, prize stalls and food counters sit among the rides. Family Day on 3 August is the best-value day for families because ride chips cost half. Anyone who wants the cherry-pit championship must be at the dog-sports field behind the roller coaster at 15:00 on opening Saturday. The Rhenish Evening on 4 August brings live music and carnival clubs to the Hexenhof. The brightest atmosphere is after dark, when the wheel and stalls are fully lit.
