Appelpop 2026 Tickets and Prices
After more than 30 years as one of the biggest free festivals in the Netherlands, Appelpop introduces paid entry for the first time in 2026, though the organizers have kept prices deliberately low. A Friday day ticket costs 15 euros, a Saturday day ticket 20 euros, and a weekend ticket 30 euros (service fee included). Children up to and including 12 years old still get in for free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets should only be bought through the official website to avoid fraud.
How to Get to Tiel: Train, Car and Ferry
Tiel train station is about a 15 minute walk from the festival site and is well served by NS trains from Utrecht and Arriva from Arnhem, with a discounted festival ticket available for the occasion. Drivers are advised to park in Wamel on the other side of the Waal and take the ferry straight to the festival grounds. Temporary and existing parking areas around the city center of Tiel are also available and free of charge during the festival days. Guarded bicycle parking is available near the site as well.
Practical Tips for Your Visit
- Buy tickets online in advance, since presale prices are lower and safer than buying at the gate.
- Travel by train or ferry, as traffic restrictions apply around the Waalkade during the festival.
- Bring cash or a rechargeable festival card for the Proeftuin and drink stalls.
- Pack weatherproof clothing in case of rain, since the festival takes place entirely outdoors.
- Bring an adult companion for children under 12, since free entry only applies with adult supervision.
