Athens NYE Parties 2026/2027 – Clubs, Disco & Countdown

Welcome to the New Year’s Eve Parties 2026/2027 in Athens

On the night of 31 December 2026 into 1 January 2027 – a Thursday into Friday – Athens does not celebrate in one place. The city’s free countdown is on Syntagma Square, in front of Parliament. In recent years the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in Kallithea, Pedion tou Areos and Tritsis Park have run the other big outdoor stages. Disco, house and psytrance continue afterwards in Gazi, Psyrri, Monastiraki and the streets around Syntagma.

As of mid-October 2026, the City of Athens, the Region of Attica and the SNFCC have not published artist bills for this night. Club line-ups in Athens usually appear only in November or December. Each room is listed separately below: what is already on sale for 2026/2027, and what that same room actually played on 31 December 2025, the last fully documented edition. That is not a promise for 2027.

Highlights & Attractions at the Athens NYE Parties

• Syntagma Square: the city’s main free countdown, last held from 22:00 with the municipal philharmonic, live sets, a mayoral countdown, low-noise fireworks and a drone show. The 2026/2027 bill is not out.
• SNFCC, 364 Andrea Syngrou Avenue, Kallithea: free open-air show in the Agora, canal fountains, fireworks, a midnight run and a DJ party afterwards. In 2025/2026 the ice rink and park stayed open until 02:00.
• Pedion tou Areos: free Region of Attica stage. On 31 December 2025, from 23:00, Eleni Foureira, ZAF and DJ Bobito, with street music in the Christmas village earlier.
• Tritsis Metropolitan Park (DEI Xmas West Park): on 31 December 2025, from 23:00, Klavdia with DJ Playmen and a drone show, countdown linked live to Pedion tou Areos.
• Gazi clubs: Gazarte (34 Voutadon) with a roof dinner and a Ground Stage party after midnight; Lohan (30–32 Iera Odos) as the big mainstream room, doors after 00:30 in earlier years; Temple (17 Iakchou) for psytrance; Astron (9–11 Iera Odos) for electronic nights.
• Burger Disco Club, 11 Nikis Street, a minute from Syntagma: the 2025/2026 NYE Grand Disco Ball with DJ Taf, then Sunshine Pedro and ClubKid until about 08:00, plus a drag show.
• Psyrri and Monastiraki: Boo (22 Lepeniotou) with dinner and an afterparty; Baba au Rum (6 Klitiou) as an early cocktail warm-up; the Athens NYE 2027 Pub Crawl already on sale from 21:00, meeting point on Thiseos, 118 51, from 90 euro.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/2027

Syntagma Square, Plateia Syntagmatos, 105 63. Admission has been free, with the show starting at 22:00. On 31 December 2025 the Athens Municipal Philharmonic opened, followed by Kostis Maravegias and Rena Morfi, hosted by Nikos Moutsinas and Tonia Sotiropoulou. Mayor Haris Doukas led the countdown, with low-noise fireworks and a large drone show. The 2026/2027 programme is not announced. After midnight the square empties quickly toward Monastiraki, Plaka and the clubs.

SNFCC Agora, 364 Syngrou Avenue, Kallithea, free admission. On 31 December 2025, from 22:30, Alexandra Sieti and a seven-piece band (soul, funk, disco), hosted by Jérôme Kaluta, with canal-fountain choreography and fireworks at midnight. At 00:04 the SNF RUN started, a 3 km fun run (704 runners in 2026). DJ Sunshine Pedro then played house, disco and afrobeat into the morning. The ice rink and park stayed open until 02:00 for that night only. A circular shuttle ran 22:00–02:30 from Syngrou-Fix; parking at the Air Force lot was about 21:00–03:00. Whether the run, the rink and that DJ return in 2027 is not confirmed.

Pedion tou Areos, on Leoforos Alexandras. Free regional show. On 31 December 2025, from 23:00, Eleni Foureira, ZAF and DJ Bobito, with fireworks; street music in the Christmas village from about 17:00. The 2026/2027 bill is unpublished. Tritsis Metropolitan Park, to the west: the same evening from 23:00, Klavdia and DJ Playmen on the DEI Xmas West Park stage, a drone show and the regional governor’s countdown, linked live to Pedion. That 2026/2027 programme is also unpublished.

Gazarte, 34 Voutadon, 118 54, Gazi. On 31 December 2025 there were two separate events, not one ticket. Roof Stage: réveillon from about 21:00 with a set menu at 120 euro per person (Christmas Eve on the same roof was 80 euro), facing the Acropolis. Ground Stage from 00:30: The Swingin’ Cats, Giorgos Zervos and a DJ set by Fotini Galani (Nostos 100.6). Standing 20 euro; a stand without stools, minimum six people, 25 euro each; VIP balcony with an open bar, minimum six, 60 euro each. Drinks were included only on VIP. No Ground Stage bill has been published for 31 December 2026. Ordinary December 2026 concerts in the building are not the New Year’s party.

Lohan, 30–32 Iera Odos, 104 35, Gazi/Kerameikos. On earlier New Year’s Eves the club opened only after 00:30; tickets for the 2024/2025 turn started around 25 euro. No DJ or live bill is published for 31 December 2026. A Saturday residency – Eleni Foureira in the 2025/2026 season, for example – does not automatically fall on this Thursday. Temple Athens, 17 Iakchou, Gazi: last New Year’s Eve was the Athens Psy Gathering, with live acts Drip Drop, Ridden, Mahaya and Morse Code and DJs Oxytocin, Xdimension and HomeBoy (psytrance and psy-progressive). Astron, 9–11 Iera Odos, Gazi: on 31 December 2025, “ASTRON NYE” with Sawf and ANFS, electronic, peaking after midnight. Neither bill is confirmed for 2027.

Burger Disco Club, 11 Nikis Street, 105 57, beside Syntagma and Ermou. “The NYE Grand Disco Ball” ran from 31 December 2025, about 23:50, until 1 January 2026, 08:00. DJ Taf for the countdown; from about 03:00 to 08:00 Sunshine Pedro – straight from his SNFCC set – with ClubKid, plus a drag show (“A Man To Pet”). A menu for four was 300 euro and included entry; free cocktails with that menu lasted until 02:00. No 2026/2027 date is announced. Boo, 22 Lepeniotou, Psyrri: on 31 December 2025, dinner 19:30–23:30, then an afterparty with Evangelia Tsiorlida, Pablo Nuevo and Masst. Book through the venue; no 2027 line-up is out. Baba au Rum, 6 Klitiou, 105 60, between Syntagma and Monastiraki: last New Year’s Eve was not an all-night club but a warm-up from 17:00 to 22:00 with cocktails, food and jazz and dance-soul. The bar is still open in 2026; 2026/2027 New Year’s hours are not published. Athénée, 9 Voukourestiou, 106 71: last turn of the year moved after midnight into a dance party with Joanna’s Burlesque Show. That was 2025/2026, not a confirmed repeat.

Already dated and on sale: the Athens NYE 2027 Pub Crawl by Athens Party Pub Crawl, Thursday 31 December 2026, start 21:00, meeting point NEW ATHENS FREE TOUR, Thiseos, 118 51 Athens (Thisio, close to Monastiraki). Ages 18+. The organiser lists a rooftop with Acropolis and fireworks views, a midnight champagne toast and skip-the-line nightclub entry, with bottle service as an option. The actual bars and club on the route are not named yet. Super-early bird from 90 euro. The listing allows refunds up to 15 days before. Not on New Year’s Eve itself: “New Year’s Eve on Broadway” at Megaron (Christos Lambrakis Hall) is only on 29 and 30 December 2026, 20:30 both nights, tickets 11 to 60 euro, conductor Stathis Soulis. That is a Broadway gala two nights before the countdown, not a midnight club.

Tickets & Admission for Athens NYE Parties

The main squares cost nothing: Syntagma, the SNFCC, Pedion tou Areos and Tritsis were free last time, with no ticket. That is why the low price is 0 euro. Paid club tickets for 31 December 2026 are barely on sale in mid-October 2026. The only clearly dated, priced night pass is the pub crawl from 90 euro. For orientation, the last published per-person prices from 2025/2026, all in euro and not automatically valid for 2027: Gazarte standing 20, stand 25, VIP open bar 60, roof menu 120; Lohan on an earlier New Year’s Eve from about 25, doors after 00:30; Burger Disco menu 300 euro for four people including entry. Table minimums elsewhere (about 400 to 1,200 euro for five to ten people; the last Venue night at Botoxe on Petrou Ralli was 40 euro including two drinks) are table prices, not single tickets, and they refer to 31 December 2025, a Wednesday – not a confirmed 2026 night. Buy a club ticket only when the venue or promoter explicitly names 31 December 2026. Pages that put “2027” in the title but still describe 31 December 2025 in the body are not a real announcement.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Athens

• Metro lines 2 or 3 to Syntagma for the square; line 3 to Kerameikos for Gazi (Lohan, Gazarte, Temple, Astron); Monastiraki for Psyrri, Boo and Baba au Rum. For the SNFCC, the last shuttle ran from Syngrou-Fix, 22:00–02:30; otherwise bus or taxi along Syngrou. Taxis at Syntagma around 00:05 are scarce.
• In 2025, police closed roads from about 20:00, including part of Vasilissis Sofias, all of Amalias, a section of Syngrou, Stadiou and the square itself, until the celebration ended on 1 January. The 2026 order is not published; plan to walk the last kilometre.
• Late-December nights in Athens are often about 8–14 °C, colder in the wind on the square. Bring a coat for the fireworks and a lighter layer for the club. Wear closed shoes; the walk from the square to Gazi is long and uneven.
• Hotels around Syntagma, Monastiraki and Psyrri go early for New Year’s Eve. Anyone who wants midnight from a roof should reserve weeks ahead. Club guest lists and tables for 31 December fill once December line-ups drop.
• Clubs are generally 18+, so bring ID. Re-entry is not guaranteed. A venue’s Saturday residency does not automatically play on this Thursday. Check the city and the SNFCC when December programmes appear – do not treat the 2025 bill as the 2027 timetable.
