Welcome to the Auer Dult Kirchweihdult 2026 in Munich
The Kirchweihdult 2026 takes place from 17 to 25 October on Mariahilfplatz in Munich’s Au district and marks the autumnal finale of the Auer Dult season. Three times a year the traditional Auer Dult transforms the square into a lively market with around 250 stalls, rides and Bavarian specialities – admission is free.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Kirchweihdult lasts nine days and runs from 17 to 25 October 2026. Market hours are daily from 10:00 to 19:00, rides operate from 10:30 to 19:00. The Auer Dult is held three times a year: Maidult in spring, Jakobidult in summer and Kirchweihdult in autumn. In addition to the large market there are regular music programmes in the Mariahilf Church and guided experience tours. The event is regarded as one of Munich’s oldest and most authentic folk-festival traditions.
Tickets & Admission for Auer Dult Munich
Admission to the Auer Dult is free of charge. There are no tickets. Rides, food and drinks are paid for on site. On Family Day (Tuesday) reduced prices apply in the funfair area. Many stalls accept cash only.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Munich
- Best reached by public transport: tram 18 (Mariahilfplatz stop), bus 52/62 or U1/U2 to Fraunhoferstraße or Kolumbusplatz followed by a short walk.
- Bring weatherproof clothing and comfortable shoes – the market is outdoors and October can be cool and rainy.
- Book accommodation in the Au district or city centre early, especially for weekends.
- No parking directly at Mariahilfplatz; use park-and-ride facilities on the outskirts.
- Visit early in the day or on weekdays to avoid crowds and browse at a leisurely pace.
