When is Awakenings Festival 2027?
The Awakenings Festival runs from Friday, 9 July, to Sunday, 11 July 2027. Gates open at 15:00 and close at 23:00 on all three days; those staying on the campsite can keep dancing well into the early morning at the Night Village. The 2027 edition also marks a milestone: Awakenings celebrates 30 years of techno.
Where does the festival take place?
The event is held at Beekse Bergen near Hilvarenbeek in the Dutch province of North Brabant, about 20 kilometres south of Tilburg. The spacious natural site holds eight stages and its own camping area, making Awakenings the world's largest outdoor techno festival. The 2026 edition drew around 119,000 visitors over three days.

What can visitors expect?
Unlike many mixed genre festivals, Awakenings is dedicated purely to techno, ranging from driving peak time sound to darker industrial techno and more melodic styles. Founded in Amsterdam in 1997, the festival has grown into an institution of European electronic music culture. Names such as Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Adam Beyer, Enrico Sangiuliano and I Hate Models have played across its eight areas; the official 2027 lineup will be announced in the coming months. Sets run long by design, letting the sound and atmosphere build over hours rather than switching between short 60 minute slots.
How much do 2027 tickets cost?
Official 2027 prices have not been announced yet; priority access currently runs through a wishlist on the official website. For reference, 2026 weekend tickets cost between roughly 115 and 160 euros, with VIP tickets offering access to exclusive areas priced up to around 250 euros. Day tickets ranged from 70 to 100 euros. Awakenings regularly sells out well in advance, so joining the wishlist early is recommended.
How to plan your visit
- Entry is 18 plus; a valid ID is required.
- Camping is available on site, from Grand Camping to Comfort Camping with festival access for all three days.
- The festival is fully cashless; food and drinks are purchased using a token system.
- Tickets are personalized and non transferable; reselling through unofficial channels is not allowed.
- If sold out, the official waitlist is worth checking, as extra allocations are sometimes released.
