Welcome to the Bad Salzufler Weihnachtstraum 2026 in Bad Salzuflen
From 23 November to 30 December 2026, the Bad Salzufler Weihnachtstraum transforms the historic old town of Bad Salzuflen into one of the most beautiful Christmas settings in Westphalia. Between half-timbered houses, the Salzhof and Schliepsteiner Tor, visitors will find more than 65 lovingly decorated wooden chalets, atmospheric lighting and a festive atmosphere. Admission is free.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
Open daily from 12:00 to 21:00 (Saturdays until 21:30, Sundays until 20:00), the Weihnachtstraum features a varied programme. Stages on the Salzhof and at Schliepsteiner Tor offer Christmas and children’s songs, popular hits and live music. Families can enjoy special children’s activities and rides. On 24 December the market is open from 10:00 to 14:00; it is closed on 25 December. From 26 December onwards the regular schedule continues.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Bad Salzuflen
- By car: Use the Altstadt, Kurpark or Zentrum multi-storey car parks or the large Herforder Straße car park – only a few minutes’ walk to the market.
- Public transport: City bus lines take you to the central bus station; from there the market is just a short walk away.
- Weather-appropriate clothing: Warm shoes and weatherproof jackets are recommended as the market is outdoors.
- Arrive early at weekends: Especially in the evenings and on shopping Sundays it can get busier.
- Combine your visit with a stroll through the Kurpark or along the graduation works for a relaxing break.
