Welcome to the Baltic Jazz Festival 2027 in Taalintehdas
Since 1987, the former ironworks village of Taalintehdas on the island of Kemionsaari in the Finnish archipelago has turned into a stage for classic swing, blues and rock every summer. In 2027, the Baltic Jazz Festival once again invites visitors on the first weekend of July, traditionally held about two weeks after Finnish Midsummer.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The festival traditionally spans a long weekend from Thursday to Sunday. Alongside ticketed concerts at the Mechanical Workshop and the Blast Furnace, free street jazz is a regular part of the program, along with a dedicated kids block on Saturday morning. The full 2027 line up and schedule will be published on the official website in spring.
Tickets and Admission for the Baltic Jazz Festival
Advance sales for 2027 have not yet opened, and exact prices will be announced together with the program. As a reference point, the 2026 edition priced the Baltic Jazz Kids ticket at 20 euros, individual concert passes ranged between 45 and 110 euros, and the full Festival Pass covering the main concerts cost 150 euros. Children under twelve get free admission to most concerts when accompanied by a parent, and visitors aged 12 to 17 receive a 50 percent discount on most tickets.
Visitor Tips: Travel and Accommodation in Taalintehdas
- By car, the drive takes about two and a half hours from Helsinki and roughly an hour from Turku
- The nearest train station is in Salo, with bus or car connections onward
- Visitors arriving by boat can moor at the Dalsbruk guest harbour
- As Taalintehdas is a small village, booking rooms or cottages on Kemionsaari well in advance is a good idea
- Light clothing plus rain protection suits the maritime summer weather of the archipelago
