From 24 November to 23 December 2026, the pedestrian zone at Maximiliansplatz (Maxplatz) in Bamberg transforms into an atmospheric winter wonderland. Surrounded by the historic backdrop of this UNESCO World Heritage city, the market offers a traditional Bavarian and Franconian Christmas experience with lovingly decorated stalls and a festive atmosphere in the narrow historic streets.

The market is open Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM. On Fridays and Saturdays, visitors can enjoy the festivities until 9:00 PM, while on Sundays it opens from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
