Traditionally held on the last weekend of August, the four-day event features large beer tents, horse races and the legendary horse market. Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

The Barthelmarkt traditionally runs from Friday to Monday around the last weekend of August. On Friday the mayor opens the festival with the beer tapping after the parade. Saturday focuses on the parade and horse races. Sunday starts with the festival service and ends with the big fireworks. Monday begins at 6 a.m. with the tent storm and the Roßmarkt – the historic heart of the market. Exact dates for 2027 will be announced in good time on the official website.
