Welcome to the Bathtub Regatta 2027 in Dinant
On August 15, 2027, a public holiday in Belgium, the Meuse River in Dinant once again turns into a joyfully chaotic waterway stage. At the international bathtub regatta, dozens of teams line up with homemade crafts built around at least one bathtub, making it one of the most original summer events in the province of Namur.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in Dinant
The day opens in the afternoon with the inspection of the boats, followed by a race of kit built bathtubs assembled on the spot. The main regatta traditionally sets off at 16:00 sharp. Alongside the race, a riverside flea market and a fair add to the atmosphere, turning the whole holiday in Dinant into a lighthearted celebration of water sport.

Both taking part and watching the Bathtub Regatta are completely free, for the tub captains as well as for every spectator along the Meuse. Team registration is free of charge, and boat inspection usually takes place in the early afternoon before the start.

- Dinant train station is within walking distance of the starting area, so arriving by train is strongly recommended
- Since Dinant gets very busy on this holiday, arriving early secures a good spot along the riverbank
- The Pont Charles de Gaulle offers one of the best overall views of the course
- Accommodation in and around Dinant should be booked well ahead given the crowds expected on August 15
- Light clothing and sun protection are worth packing, since much of the riverbank offers little shade
