On the Green Hill in Bayreuth, the legendary Festspielhaus opens its doors again in summer 2027 for the world's most renowned Wagner opera festival. Ever since Richard Wagner himself founded it, Bayreuth has remained the place most closely tied to the composer's work.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The season runs over several weeks with performances at the Festspielhaus on nearly every day. At its center are the two new productions of Lohengrin and Parsifal, joined by revivals of Tannhäuser and Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. There is no Ring des Nibelungen this season, as the next new production of the cycle is planned for a later year. Most performances begin in the afternoon, while select dates such as the opening start in the evening.
Tickets and Admission for the Bayreuth Festival 2027
Tickets are divided into numerous price categories depending on the seating area in the stalls, boxes, balcony or gallery. Under the most recently published price list, single tickets ranged from about 11 to 352 euros; exact prices for the 2027 season will be announced separately by the organizer. An additional fee per ticket usually applies on top of the seat price. Tickets can be ordered through the official ticket shop, and demand is traditionally very high.
