Welcome to the Beethoven Festival Leipzig 2027 in Leipzig
From 9 to 23 May 2027 the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig celebrates the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s death with an international festival. Centre stage are major symphony concerts by the Gewandhausorchester under Andris Nelsons, world-class chamber music and contemporary approaches to Beethoven’s work. Stars such as Lang Lang, Igor Levit and Leonidas Kavakos shape the programme.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The Beethoven Festival Leipzig 2027 combines tradition and the present day. The Gewandhausorchester under Andris Nelsons presents major symphony concerts and instrumental concertos. In parallel, the complete string quartets and selected recitals are performed. Special highlights include the new Egmont version and crossover projects that reinterpret Beethoven’s music. Concerts mainly take place in the evenings in the Great Hall and Mendelssohn Hall of the Gewandhaus. Advance booking and a 15 % festival discount from the fourth ticket are available via the official website.
Tickets & Admission for Beethoven Festival Leipzig
Tickets range from approximately 20 to 170 Euro depending on the concert and category. A 15 % discount applies from the fourth festival ticket onwards. Tickets are available via the Gewandhaus website. Season ticket holders and Gewandhauscard holders had early access.
