Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026

BERGFESTival 2026 runs across early December, with the biggest open-air sets focused on the weekend. The Schattberg Stage hosts brass, punk, hip-hop and party-rock headliners. Parallel nights bring hut atmosphere at Gasteiner Stadl, club sets at Castello beneath Hotel Saalbacher Hof, and dancing at Taverne. Hinterhag Alm is the Saturday-afternoon mountain stage; pedestrians pay a EUR 12 lift ticket at the valley station, and a valid ski pass is also accepted.

Box office and wristband exchange sit at the Schattberg Stage entrance. Reported opening times are around 16:30 on Friday and 17:00 on Saturday. Full set times can still change and should be checked on the official website. Valley concerts do not require a ski pass. Ski operations during the festival fall into the winter-start price period.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Saalbach

  • Travel via Salzburg or Zell am See, then continue by regional bus into the Glemmtal; festival coach packages cut traffic in the narrow valley.
  • Early December is cold, often wet and windy: pack layered winter clothing, sturdy boots, hat and gloves even if you skip skiing.
  • Book rooms in Saalbach or Hinterglemm early; official packages on berg-festival.com combine lodging and festival entry.
  • To mix skiing and shows, add a winter-start ski pass; the Skicircus is scheduled to open on 27 November 2026.
  • Parking at the Schattberg X-press valley station is limited; arriving without a car keeps you closer to the stage and nightlife.
