Berlin Beer Week 2026 – Germany's Largest Craft Beer Festival

From 28 August to 6 September 2026, Berlin becomes the centre of Europe's craft beer scene. Berlin Beer Week brings together local and international breweries for over ten festival days of tastings, tap takeovers, brewing courses, food pairings and live music at venues across the city. The unmissable highlight is the legendary Brews Cruises on the River Spree, where guests can enjoy more than 25 beers from Berlin, Germany and around the world on board, with a live DJ and panoramic views of the Berlin skyline.

Program 2026

The festival program spans two weekends. First weekend (28 to 30 August): The Opening Cruise departs on 28 August from 5:00 PM. On 29 August, Brews Cruise Vol. 2 with Störtebeker, BRLO and international guest breweries takes place from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Second weekend (5 to 6 September): Further cruises conclude with the grand Closing Cruise marking the 10th anniversary of Berlin Beer Week, running from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Between the two weekends, citywide partner events take place across Berlin's breweries and bars, including international tap takeovers, guided beer hikes through the city, tasting sessions and beer quizzes.

Tickets

Many of the citywide partner events during Berlin Beer Week are free to attend. Tickets are required for the Brews Cruises on the Spree and are available through Ticketmaster. Early bird tickets with discounts of up to €15 are available in advance. The cruises sell out quickly, so early booking is strongly recommended. Accommodation in Berlin should also be reserved several months in advance as demand during festival week is particularly high.

Getting There & Tips

  • All cruise departures leave from Jannowitzbrücke in the Mitte district.
  • Travel by U-Bahn or S-Bahn is recommended; the Jannowitzbrücke station is directly accessible.
  • August temperatures in Berlin average 23 to 25 degrees Celsius; bring a light jacket for evening events on the water.
