Welcome to the Biennale MArteLive 2026 in Rome
Biennale MArteLive 2026 runs from 1 to 11 October in Rome and the Lazio region. Its core is Lo Spettacolo Totale on 1, 2 and 3 October at Lanificio 159 in Pietralata: 16 art forms take place at once, from indie, alternative and electronic music to theatre, dance, circus and street art. Founded in 2001 by Giuseppe Casa, the biennale is one of Europe’s largest multidisciplinary events for emerging artists.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
From 1 to 3 October the festival focuses on Lo Spettacolo Totale at Lanificio 159 (Via di Pietralata 159A). Finalists in music, DJ/producer, theatre, dance, contemporary circus, literature, painting, photography, sculpture, street art, illustration, cinema, video clip, video art, fashion and craft perform before a professional jury and a live audience. Main-night doors typically open around 20:00; programming continues into the early hours.
From 4 to 11 October the biennale spreads across about 40 locations in several Rome districts and Lazio. Special projects continue with concerts, residencies, workshops and exhibitions. A preview with PREWN took place on 19 September at Largo Venue. Individual Suggestiva concerts (including Ex Cartiera Latina) are promoted separately. The full line-up is updated on martelive.it.
Tickets & Admission for Biennale MArteLive Rome
For Lo Spettacolo Totale at Lanificio the organiser lists about 20 EUR in advance and 25 EUR at the door (the 12.50 EUR early-bird rate ended on 6 September 2026). Single concerts in special projects such as Suggestiva are often sold separately via DICE or MArteTicket; prices vary by show. Entry is not free. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Rome
- Lanificio 159 is in Pietralata; take Metro line B to Pietralata plus a short walk, or a bus. From Termini station allow about 20–30 minutes.
- October in Rome is mild but cool at night; bring a light jacket and comfortable shoes for industrial halls and outdoor sites. Rain is possible.
- Book stays in San Lorenzo, Nomentano, Prenestino or the centre early — the festival falls in high season and overlaps with other large events.
- Many shows start at 20:00 or 21:00; plan late-night transport or a taxi, as Metro and buses run less frequently after midnight.
