Welcome to the Bierfestival Gerstenat 2026 in Aardenburg
Bierfestival Gerstenat 2026 takes place on Saturday, 3 October at restaurant In den Wijngaard in Aardenburg. Gerstenat is a one-day tasting festival, not a large open-air with a main stage. The last fully documented edition (4 October 2025) ran from 14:00 to 22:00; 2026 follows the same Saturday slot on 3 October. Expect taps, conversations with brewers and dishes from In den Wijngaard’s kitchen. In 2025 participating names included Brouwerij Kees, Brouwerij Rodanum, De Believers, Brewpub de Stulp, Beun Brewing Company, Leroy Breweries and The Beersteward. The confirmed 2026 brewery list was not published on the restaurant website at the time of research — check Instagram @bierfestival_gerstenat for the latest stand list.
Tickets & Admission for Bierfestival Gerstenat Aardenburg
The last officially communicated ticket price was EUR 15, including a festival glass and three drinks. Extra drinks are normally paid separately. No new 2026 price list was live on indenwijngaard.eu; the festival Instagram account is the most practical source for tickets and updates. A dedicated online ticket shop was not found. - Getting there: Aardenburg is in Zeelandic Flanders (municipality of Sluis). By car use the N251/N253; In den Wijngaard has several on-site car parks. Maldegem in Belgium is only a few kilometres away. Public transport is limited in this rural area — rail travellers typically connect via Bruges, Ghent or Goes, then bus or taxi.
- Early October on the Scheldt can be cool, windy and showery. Wear sturdy shoes and a warm layer.
- Book rooms early in Aardenburg, Sluis, Cadzand, Maldegem or Bruges; the village itself has few beds.
- Bring ID: the festival sits right on the Dutch–Belgian border. Do not drink and drive — use a designated driver or stay overnight.
