Welcome to BiH Color Festival 2026 in Brčko
On 28 and 29 July 2026, Brčko in north-eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina once again becomes the most colourful festival ground in the Balkans. The BiH Color Festival has been combining the energy of electronic music culture with the exuberant spirit of the Indian Holi festival since 2016 and has grown into the country's most celebrated open-air summer event. Held on the driver training ground (Poligon) in Brčko, the two-day festival draws thousands of visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and across the entire former Yugoslav region every year.
The Heart of the Festival: Hourly Colour Throws
The unmistakable signature of the BiH Color Festival is its hourly colour throws, during which several tonnes of non-toxic, natural plant-based pigments are released over the crowd. The powders are made from natural ingredients such as turmeric and flower extracts, carry an international non-toxic certification, wash off skin and clothing easily with soap and water, and leave no permanent stains on most fabrics. The combination of pounding bass and bright colour clouds in the air creates an atmosphere that is simultaneously chaotic and harmonious, unlike anything else on the regional festival calendar.

Program & Stages
The festival grounds are split between two stages. The Mainstage is dedicated to contemporary mainstream sound including techno, house and EDM at the highest production level. The Hammer Stage is the destination for fans of underground and subculture music, where lesser-known genres and rising artists from across the former Yugoslav region take the spotlight. The festival exclusively features unsigned, independent artists, creating an authentic alternative to commercially driven mainstream events.
Tickets
Tickets for the BiH Color Festival are available online through kupikartu.ba and all associated sales points across Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Silver Wings in Brčko and Urban PUB Krug in Bijeljina. Advance two-day tickets are generally cheaper than single-day tickets purchased at the gate. Entry starts at around $25 USD (approximately 35 KM) for both festival days. Tickets are valid for both days; re-entry on the same day is not permitted. All on-site purchases are made using a token system (1 token = 1 KM).
Practical Rules & Information
- Outside food and drinks are not permitted on the grounds; food and drinks are available at festival stands.
- Glass bottles and containers are strictly prohibited.
- The minimum age for entry is generally 16; a valid photo ID must be carried at all times.
- Professional camera equipment is restricted due to colour powder; protective cases are recommended.
- The festival takes place regardless of rain; the stage is only temporarily lowered in the event of severe storms.
- Print online tickets before arrival; each ticket is valid for one person only.
Visitor Tips
- Wear white or light-coloured clothing so the colours stand out as vividly as possible.
- Protect your eyes and camera lenses during colour throws; lightweight goggles are strongly recommended.
- Keep your ticket and ID in a waterproof pouch throughout the festival.
- Arrive early to secure a good spot in front of the main stage.
- Book accommodation in Brčko several months in advance; the nearest major airport is Tuzla International Airport (approx. 60 km away).
- Travel by bus or car is recommended; designated public parking areas are available in the city centre.
