Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026

On Saturday, 24 October 2026, Schloss Rothschild opens at 18:30. Concerts start at 19:30. This is a one-night indoor show, not a multi-day camping festival. The band order and full line-up have not been published yet; the organiser currently lists all acts as TBA. Previous editions in the castle cellar or knights’ hall typically featured four to five bands from different extreme metal subgenres, including local acts and guests from Austria and neighbouring countries. An official closing time has not been released; comparable nights usually run into the late hours. Check Close2Fan for the latest line-up before you travel.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Waidhofen an der Ybbs

  • By train: travel via Amstetten (ÖBB/Westbahn), then a regional train to Waidhofen an der Ybbs; Schloss Rothschild is about 1 km / 10 minutes on foot from the station.
  • By car: A1 exit Amstetten West or Oed, then B121 into Waidhofen an der Ybbs. Park at Parkgarage Schlosscenter (footbridge over the Ybbs) or Parkdeck Pfarrgarten, both a short walk from the castle.
  • Late October in Lower Austria is cool; bring a jacket, sturdy shoes and ear protection. This is a historic indoor castle venue, not an open-air field.
  • Book rooms in the old town or castle area early (including Schlosswirt / Schloss an der Eisenstrasse); capacity is limited on event weekends.
  • Line-up and door times may still change; check the ticket page shortly before 24 October 2026. Earlier editions were already full before showtime.
