Welcome to the Brasov Christmas Market 2026
From 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, the historic Council Square (Piața Sfatului) in the heart of Brașov transforms into a true winter wonderland. Nestled in a valley beneath the Carpathian Mountains and surrounded by colorful Baroque buildings and the famous Black Church, this market offers one of the most picturesque settings in Eastern Europe. Crisp mountain air paired with warm Transylvanian hospitality creates an unforgettable holiday experience.

Program
The Christmas market opens daily – Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM, and on weekends starting early at 10:00 AM (running until 10:00 PM). Alongside charming wooden chalets offering regional handicrafts, woodcarvings, and hand-woven textiles, visitors can enjoy local choral performances and seasonal entertainment. Evening strolls through the festively lit alleys of the Old Town are an absolute must.

Admission to the Christmas market at Council Square is completely free. No tickets or reservations are required to enter the market area surrounding the historic town hall.
