Welcome to Brussels Winter Wonders (Plaisirs d'Hiver) 2026
From 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, the city center of Brussels transforms into a magical winter wonderland. "Plaisirs d'Hiver" (Winter Wonders) is widely considered one of Europe's most beautiful Christmas markets, spanning multiple historic squares, most notably the stunning Grand-Place.

Program
The market is open daily from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The absolute centerpiece of the program is the state-of-the-art sound and light show at the Grand-Place. During the evening hours, the historic buildings are impressively illuminated with colorful projections and synchronized music at regular intervals. In addition, choirs, creative workshops, and musical parades provide daily entertainment.
Tickets
Access to the Christmas market and the sound and light show at the Grand-Place is completely free. Tickets are only required for specific attractions such as the Ferris wheel or the ice skating rink, which can be purchased on-site. No advance reservations are needed to enter the market areas.
Visitor Tips
- Arriving by train at "Gare Centrale" (Central Station) is highly recommended, as it is just a short walk from the market.
- Do not miss the sound and light show; it runs every hour after dusk.
- Be sure to taste local specialties like freshly baked Liège waffles and hot Belgian chocolate.
- Visit on weekdays to avoid the large weekend crowds.
- Dress warmly, as temperatures can drop significantly during evening events.
