From November 20, 2026, to January 3, 2027, the medieval city of Bruges transforms into a romantic winter wonderland. Program

The Christmas markets at Grote Markt and Simon Stevinplein are generally open Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM, and until 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays (special hours apply on holidays). As dusk falls, the spectacular light trail comes to life, guiding visitors through the charming streets and along the canals. The outdoor ice rink invites guests for a romantic skating session in the heart of the city.

Tickets

Entry to the Christmas markets and the Winter Glow light trail is completely free. However, fees apply for ice skating and skate rentals at the Grote Markt rink. While no tickets are required to stroll through the markets, booking your accommodation well in advance is highly recommended.
