Welcome to the Budapest New Year's Eve Parties 2026/2027 in Budapest
If you want to celebrate New Year's Eve in Budapest beyond the big fireworks and open air events, the city offers a wide range of club nights, discos and unusual venues. From a retro disco in Óbuda and an electronic club night at Várkert Bazár to a house party at the BOK hall and a party boat on the Danube, this guide shows which New Year's Eve parties for 2026/2027 are already confirmed and which clubs have not yet published their programme.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/2027
Retro Mánia New Year's Eve Disco Party: The party takes place at Glob Royal Club, Csemete utca 5 in District III (Óbuda). According to the organizer, doors are open from 20:00 to 03:30. The club has three levels with two dance floors. DJ Wicksilver hosts the evening, DJ Chef plays dance, disco and club hits from the 1980s to the 2010s on the first dance floor, and DJ Hargittay Gábor plays 1980s Euro italo disco and 1990s dance hits on the second. Outside drinks are not allowed and the cloakroom is compulsory.
Be Massive New Year's Eve Party: This electronic club series celebrates the new year on 31 December 2026 at Várkert Bazár (Ybl Miklós tér 2, Castle District). The start is listed as 22:00. The 2026 lineup had not been published at the time of research. Earlier editions focused on underground techno and house.
Magyarország együtt mulat: The New Year's Eve house party at BOK Csarnok (Dózsa György út 1, District XIV) starts at 21:00 according to the organizer and runs until dawn. Announced acts are DJ Sterbinszky and Mynea, B. Tóth László, Rákász Béla and DJ Dominique, plus a surprise guest on the main stage after midnight. Another ticket portal lists a 19:00 start, so please check the exact time when buying tickets.
Széchenyi Bath Party: This party does not take place on New Year's Eve itself but on 30 December 2026 from 21:30 until about 02:00 at Széchenyi Thermal Bath (Állatkerti körút 9, 1146 Budapest). It is held in a roped off section of the outdoor pool with light effects and is the winter edition of the Sparty series. No DJ lineup has been named, and the organizer notes that the date is still to be confirmed and the programme may change. The party goes ahead in rain or snow.
Party boat on the Danube: The NYE Boat Party Cruise on the MS Stadt Wien runs on 31 December 2026. The programme lasts about five hours with roughly three hours on the water, and boarding is in the early evening at Akadémia Dock 2 (Id. Antall József rakpart, 1051 Budapest). A live DJ plays party music, and a snack buffet is served for the midnight countdown. A cheaper alternative is the Silverline NYE Booze Cruise from Petőfi tér, Dock 11, with unlimited wine, sparkling wine and draught beer, but no food.
New Year's Eve pub crawl: The pub crawl lasts about five hours and visits at least four clubs and bars. The meeting point is the bar Doboz at Klauzál utca 10 in District VII. It includes VIP entry to the clubs, one hour of open bar, drink specials and drinking games. Hotel pick up is not included.
Instant Fogas, Szimpla Kert and other addresses: The Instant Fogas complex at Akácfa utca 51, with six dance floors and 18 bars, traditionally holds a New Year's Eve party every year. Date, prices and lineup for 2026/2027 have not been published. Most tickets are usually sold at the door, tickets are single entry, and only guests aged 18 and over are admitted after 22:00. Szimpla Kert, the best known ruin bar in the city, has free entry, and no New Year's Eve programme has been announced yet. Rudas Baths usually hosts a New Year's Eve night in the water as well, but the 2026/2027 edition has not been announced. No New Year's Eve event was listed for Akvárium Klub at the time of research.
Tickets & Admission for the Budapest New Year's Eve Parties
Retro Mánia: Advance tickets are sold online only. A standing ticket costs 8,000 HUF (about 21 euros) and a seated ticket 10,000 HUF (about 26 euros). Tables with nachos start at 20,000 HUF for two people (about 52 euros). An after midnight ticket from 00:30 costs 3,000 HUF (about 8 euros) and is sold only if space remains. A glass of champagne at midnight is included, and the organizer expects a sell out.
Be Massive: One ticket listing shows prices from 8,650 to 22,290 HUF (about 22 to 58 euros), while other portals do not yet show prices, so please verify before buying. Magyarország együtt mulat: Tickets range from about 27,899 to 137,900 HUF (about 72 to 358 euros). Options are Standard, Silver with unlimited food (sausages, sandwiches, pastries, lentil stew, coffee and mineral water) and Gold VIP with a VIP seat, backstage access and unlimited food and drinks. Early bird prices were valid only until 30 September 2026.
Széchenyi Bath Party: Depending on the provider and booking time, prices range from about 75 to 159 euros. The official page lists Basic from about 75 euros as an early bird, Premium with three drink coupons for 89 euros and Express with priority entry and a cabin for 139 euros, and prices may rise closer to the date. A towel costs about 40 euros or must be brought along.
Party boat and pub crawl: The MS Stadt Wien boat party starts at 175 euros as an early bird (200 euros regular) and includes unlimited drinks, snacks, a midnight buffet, a DJ and a photographer. The Silverline booze cruise costs 125 euros and the midnight prosecco cruise 72 euros. Gala dinner cruises with live music and shows cost about 340 to 360 euros. The pub crawl costs 100 euros. All conversions from forint to euro are approximate.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Budapest
- The Budapest public transport company publishes a special New Year's Eve timetable shortly before the night; trams 4 and 6 and the night buses serve the Jewish Quarter
- Late December in Budapest is cold; for the bath party bring swimwear, flip flops and warm clothing for the walk to the outdoor pool
- Book accommodation in Budapest early for the New Year's Eve weekend, as demand is very high
- A valid photo ID is required at many clubs, and Instant Fogas admits only guests aged 18 and over after 22:00
- Popular parties such as Retro Mánia and the bath party often sell out; please check dates, prices and lineups with the organizers
