Welcome to the Cannstatter Volksfest 2026 in Stuttgart
The Cannstatter Volksfest 2026, also known as the Wasen, takes place from 25 September to 11 October on the Cannstatter Wasen in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt. As the world’s second-largest folk festival, it attracts around four million visitors and offers 17 days of beer tents, rides, culinary specialities and lively atmosphere along the Neckar.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The festival grounds open on 25 September 2026. Regular opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 12:00 to 23:00, Friday from 12:00 to 24:00, Saturday from 11:00 to 24:00 and Sunday from 11:00 to 23:00. On opening day rides start at 15:00, with the keg tapping at 16:00. Highlights include the large festival parade on 27 September, family days on 30 September and 7 October, and the musical fireworks on the final day. The beer tents feature daily live programmes with brass bands and party music.
Tickets & Admission for Cannstatter Volksfest Stuttgart
Admission to the Cannstatter Volksfest is free of charge. There is no entrance fee for the festival grounds. Costs only arise for rides, food, drinks and table reservations in the tents. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Stuttgart
- Public transport: S-Bahn stations Neckarpark or Bad Cannstatt are nearby; many bus and train lines serve the Wasen.
