Welcome to the Cantillon Zwanze Day 2028 in Brussels
Cantillon Zwanze Day is the global highlight for lovers of traditional spontaneous fermentation. Every two years Brasserie Cantillon in Brussels releases an experimental Lambic or Geuze beer and taps it simultaneously at selected bars around the world. The name “Zwanze” comes from the Brussels dialect and refers to ironic humour – fitting the playful nature of these one-off beers.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2028
Cantillon Zwanze Day takes place every two years and alternates with the Quintessence event. The exact date for 2027 will be announced by Brasserie Cantillon in due course. Traditionally the simultaneous tapping occurs at 9 p.m. local time in Brussels. At the brewery itself and at selected bars worldwide the special Zwanze beers as well as other Cantillon classics are poured. The event is a celebration of spontaneous fermentation and the international lambic community.
