Welcome to New Year's Eve in Rome 2026/2027

The night of Thursday 31 December 2026 into Friday 1 January 2027 is not one party. Rome runs a free civic concert at the Circo Massimo in most recent years, and, in parallel, dinner shows, hotel galas, disco doors and club nights in separate rooms. As of mid-October 2026 the City of Rome has not published the Circo Massimo lineup for this edition. Many clubs already list the date, but mark the price and menu as still updating, or they still show the last documented edition.

Highlights & Attractions at New Year's Eve in Rome

• Circo Massimo, Via del Circo Massimo, 00186: the city’s big outdoor concert. Artists, start time and official confirmation for 31 December 2026 are not published yet. The last confirmed edition (31 December 2025, welcoming 2026) was free, from 21:00, with Alessandra Amoroso, Fabri Fibra and Tananai, then a DJ set. That is not the 2027 bill.
• Palazzo Brancaccio, Via Merulana 248: “Timeless Elegance” on 31 December 2026 is on the venue’s own page. Welcome drink from 20:00, gala dinner, open wine and sparkling wine until midnight, live show, midnight toast, then cotechino and lentils. Dress code: classy evening. • Salone Bernini at Palazzo Ripetta, Via di Ripetta 231: The Three Tenors on 31 December 2026, 19:00 to about 20:20, from 95 euro. Opera arias, waltzes and Christmas songs with string quartet and piano. Optional five-course dinner at Baylon from 21:00 for 200 euro, drinks extra.
• Rome Marriott Park Hotel, Via Colonnello Tommaso Masala 54: ExtraNight on 31 December 2026, aimed at about 20 to 35, no under-18s. Silver from 50 euro (entry from 23:00), Gold 130, Silvernight 150, Platinum 220, Platinum Plus 290 euro. Dinner with unlimited wine from 20:30, an organiser-listed fireworks moment at midnight, open bar from 00:05, and a room on several packages.
• Puro EUR, Viale della Civiltà del Lavoro 50: Speed gala on 31 December 2026 from 19:30, 170 euro, singles roughly 28 to 55 only. Five courses, welcome toast, midnight prosecco, lentils, DJ set.
• Club night in the centre and along the main roads: Aforisma plus Toy Room on Via del Tritone, Club 79 at Via Pietro Micca 7/9, Lian Club on Via Nomentana, BoBo Bistrot inside Casa del Jazz (Viale di Porta Ardeatina 55, close to the Circo Massimo) and Divina Club on Via Tuscolana. The date is listed; final 2027 prices are still marked as updating.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/2027

The earliest fixed stage that evening is the tenor concert at 19:00. Club dinners usually start between 20:00 and 20:30, disco-only doors from 23:00 or after midnight, and close often between 04:00 and 05:00. Where a line says “last documented formula”, that figure is not a released 2027 price.

Public concert ground. Circo Massimo: free city event in recent confirmed years, with the fenced field last counted around 40,000 to 70,000 depending on the source, plus people coming and going. Metro B, Circo Massimo and Colosseo. In the previous edition glass was banned in the concert area, and the Circo Massimo metro stop could close near midnight. Whether that repeats for 2026/2027 is set only when the city confirms the show.

• Palazzo Brancaccio, Via Merulana 248: confirmed dinner show on 31 December 2026 in Spazio Field. Welcome drink at 20:00, open wine until midnight, live voices, instruments and dance, midnight toast, cotechino and lentils. Price not published.
• Palazzo Ripetta, Via di Ripetta 231: Three Tenors, 31 December 2026, 19:00–20:20, from 95 euro. Programme includes the Cavalleria rusticana intermezzo, Una furtiva lagrima, E lucevan le stelle, La donna è mobile, Nessun dorma, the Radetzky March, the Blue Danube and Christmas songs. Dinner at Baylon from 21:00, 200 euro excluding drinks.
• Rome Marriott Park Hotel, Via Colonnello Tommaso Masala 54: ExtraNight, 31 December 2026. Doors from 20:00, dinner from 20:30, Silver entry from 23:00, open bar from 00:05. Packages at 50, 130, 150, 220 and 290 euro. Ages about 20–35, 18 and over. Higher packages include a room into 1 January.
• Puro EUR, Viale della Civiltà del Lavoro 50: gala on 31 December 2026, 19:30, 170 euro. Speed-dinner seating, five courses, water and wine, midnight prosecco, DJ set. Singles aged about 28–55.
• Club 79, Via Pietro Micca 7/9: listed for 31 December 2026. Buffet in the Caveau loft from 20:30, dancefloor from 23:30 until about 04:00. Advertised from 35 euro. Menu and final price still open.
• Aforisma and Toy Room, Via del Tritone: listed for 31 December 2026. Elegant dress code, men from 23, women from 21. Last documented formula, not confirmed as the 2027 price: Aforisma dinner 190 euro from 20:30, piano-bar happy dinner 160 euro, after-dinner table 100 euro per person from 00:30, dancefloor presale 50 euro with one drink, Toy Room from 23:00, tables last listed at 1,000 to 3,000 euro for up to 10 people.
• Lian Club, Via Nomentana: two dining rooms, The Club and Little Lian, then the dancefloor. Last documented formula: dinner 100 euro (table until 00:30) or 110 euro (table all night); dancefloor from 23:30 at 30 euro with one drink or 40 euro with two drinks. Page says prices are updating.
• BoBo Bistrot, Casa del Jazz, Viale di Porta Ardeatina 55: dinner from 20:30, then a DJ set (80s, 90s, commercial). Last documented all-inclusive formula 95 euro, including wine, midnight sparkling wine, cotechino and lentils. Prices updating. Parking beside the venue.
• Divina Club, Via Tuscolana: disco only. Last documented formula: entry at 23:00 for 40 euro, late entry at 00:30 for 30 euro. Prices updating.
• Hotel La Griffe, Via Nazionale 13, Monti: dinner show on the covered, heated rooftop, 180 euro, live music, cotechino with Castelluccio lentils.
• Vertici Restaurant Cardo, Viale del Pattinaggio 100: dinner show at 170 euro, table all night, drinks in the menu, vegetarian on request.
• Salotto delle Alchimie, Via Flaminia Nuova 834: eight-course menu, 160 euro, Champagne de Venoge and the midnight toast included.
• Chalet del Lago, EUR: seated dinner by the lake from 20:30, formulas at 159 and 189 euro. The organiser announces fireworks over the water and a DJ set afterwards. That is a venue claim, not a city fireworks display.
• Salotto Ripa Grande, Lungotevere Ripa 3, Trastevere: 150 euro, live music at the table, open bar all night, DJ set after the toast.
• Hotel The Building, Via Montebello 126: 140 euro, dinner facing the Aurelian Walls, piano bar, then a disco in the deconsecrated chapel.
• DoubleTree by Hilton: 140 euro with a DJ set in the room; 175 euro includes the rooftop after-party from 23:30. Cotechino and lentils at midnight.

Tickets & Admission for New Year's Eve in Rome

There is no single box office for every party. The civic concert at the Circo Massimo was free and unticketed in the last confirmed editions; official clearance for 31 December 2026 is still missing. Paid nights, on prices published so far, run roughly from 15 to 290 euro per person. Figures that are written out and dated include 95 euro for the Three Tenors, 170 euro for the Speed gala at Puro EUR, and 50 to 290 euro for ExtraNight at the Marriott Park Hotel. Palazzo Brancaccio has not published a price. At Aforisma, Lian, BoBo, Divina, Piper, Boscolo and The Circle, the euro amounts are a last documented formula or a “from” price, not a closed 2027 rate card. Toy Room tables were last listed at 1,000 to 3,000 euro for up to ten people. Buy only from the venue or its named presale, and check the age rule and dress code before you pay.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Rome

• To the Circo Massimo: Metro B to Circo Massimo or Colosseo, tram 3 to Aventino/Albania, bus 75. On the previous New Year’s Eve the metro ran until about 02:30, then night buses. The 2026/2027 timetable is fixed only close to the date. Road closures and banned parking around the circus are usual; walk in from Colosseo or Piramide.
• Late December weather: days often about 8 to 14 degrees, nights near 5, rain possible. Coat, closed shoes, and a layer that still meets the club dress code. Umbrellas are awkward in a full disco.
• Rooms and tables in the centre, Trastevere, Monti, Prati and EUR go early. A place at the concert is not a club ticket; you need a separate booking if you want a dancefloor afterwards.
• Bring ID. Several rooms are 18 and over. Aforisma last used 23 for men and 21 for women. ExtraNight advertises roughly 20 to 35. Elegant dress is required at Brancaccio, Aforisma and the hotel galas, not a suggestion.
• Private fireworks have been restricted in Rome on previous New Year’s Eves by prefectural order. Venue fireworks (Marriott, Chalet del Lago) are an organiser claim. Taxis are scarce after midnight; a night bus, a pre-booked car or a hotel within walking distance is safer than driving.
