From 12 November to 23 December 2026, the Welsh capital transforms into a magical winter wonderland. Combining the traditional craft-focused Cardiff Christmas Market along The Hayes with the thrilling Winter Wonderland at Cardiff Castle and City Hall Lawn, the city offers an unforgettable festive experience blending Welsh heritage and modern holiday fun.

Program
The Christmas market is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (with late-night shopping until 7:00 PM on Thursdays in December), and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Winter Wonderland opens daily from 11:00 AM until late evening. Visitors can easily combine shopping for unique gifts with ice skating, family fairground rides, and seasonal entertainment.
Tickets
Admission to the open-air market areas and general festival grounds is completely free. However, if you plan to go ice skating at Winter Wonderland, booking your tickets online in advance is strongly recommended. Prices for attractions depend on the activity.
