Castañazo 2026 takes place on 30 and 31 October in Chantada (Lugo province, Galicia, Spain). This long-running autumn festival combines rock, punk, electronic and traditional Galician music with local customs such as the magosto (chestnut roast) and a rich programme of side activities at the Mercado Ganadero.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
On Friday 30 October activities begin in the afternoon with Xogos Bravús and continue into the evening and night concerts. On Saturday 31 October the daytime programme includes children’s activities (Ourizo Miúdo), the craft market, Cantos de Taberna and the magosto, before the main stage reopens in the evening. Exact timings and the final running order will be published closer to the event on the official website. The festival is held at the covered Mercado Ganadero and is largely weather-independent.
