Fürth Christmas Market 2026

The classic Fürth Christmas Market runs from 26 November to 23 December 2026 daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (drinks until 9:30 p.m.) on Fürther Freiheit. Around 30–40 festively decorated stalls offer crafts, gift ideas, Christmas decorations and seasonal treats. Choirs and regional music groups create a contemplative atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy mulled wine or eggnog by the warming fire pits in a noticeably more relaxed setting than many larger markets. An eye-catching feature is the eight-metre illuminated moose on the roof of the mulled-wine tavern.

Fürth Medieval Market 2026

Running simultaneously on Fürther Freiheit, the Medieval Market features about 24 historic tents and wooden stalls. Candle makers, glassblowers, blacksmiths, potters and other artisans demonstrate their crafts live. Visitors can find handmade jewellery, baskets, pottery and children’s armour. Food and drink include grilled salmon, fresh hand-baked bread, tarte flambée, hearty soups, mead, berry wine and hypocras. The programme includes music, jugglers, stilt walkers, fire shows (mostly in the evening) and children’s knight tournaments. A special highlight is the heated wooden bathtub experience.

Old Town Christmas Fürth 2026

From 4 to 13 December 2026 the historic Waagplatz becomes a cosy, less commercial Christmas venue for ten days. Opening hours: Monday to Friday 4:00–8:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 2:00–8:00 p.m. Traditional crafts take centre stage: a blacksmith and a glassblower work on site. Small stalls offer jewellery, ceramics, woodwork, candles and decorations from both professional makers and hobby artists. A small stage presents choirs, jazz and other music. The market is known for its peaceful, romantic atmosphere in the old-town setting.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026

The Fürth Christmas Market and Medieval Market run in parallel from 26 November to 23 December 2026 with daily opening from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering live music, craft demonstrations and evening fire performances. The Old Town Christmas complements the programme from 4 to 13 December with a more intimate evening and weekend focus. In addition, the large Christmas pyramid at Adenauer-Anlage remains open from late November until mid-January and invites visitors for a hot drink. All markets are freely accessible and family-friendly.

Tickets & Admission for Christmas Markets Fürth
