Nestled between the town hall and the old ducal chancellery, this romantic Christmas town offers regional products, mulled wine and festive lights. Admission is free.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Coburg Christmas Market is open daily from 11:00 to 20:00, with food and drinks available until 21:30. The festively decorated stalls offer exclusively Christmas and regional products. On Sundays the Christ Child and Santa Claus visit and distribute sweet surprises. On 6 December St. Nicholas also appears. In the evenings artists, choirs and bands create a magical atmosphere with Christmas music.

The traditional Coburg Christmas Market takes place from 27 November to 23 December 2026 on the market square. The beautifully decorated wooden huts, the canopy of lights around the Prince Albert monument and the historic children’s carousel make it one of the most atmospheric Christmas markets in Franconia. Visitors can discover winter teas, handmade decorations and culinary delights from the region. The four glowing gates decorated with fir greenery open the market ceremoniously and create a fairytale atmosphere.
