As 2026 turns into 2027, Copenhagen becomes a party city: besides the fireworks over the rooftops there are club nights lasting until morning, dinner parties with shows and live music, hotel celebrations in the harbour districts and small, affordable dance nights in the Meatpacking District. This guide presents the individual events that are already confirmed for New Year's Eve 2026, so you can find the right party for your night.

Program & Schedule: Where and When to Party on New Year's Eve in Copenhagen
Culture Box (Kronprinsessegade 54): According to the event listing, the techno and house club has hosted Copenhagen's number one New Year's Eve party since 2005. Expect two rooms, DJs, live VJs and more than twelve hours of music, from 22:00 until 10:00 on New Year's morning. The lineup and ticket prices for 2026 were not yet published at the time of research.
Wallmans at the Circus Building (Jernbanegade 8): Doors open at 16:45 and guests are seated at 17:30. The evening includes the King's address, a dinner with four courses served between the acts of the show POPCORN (live music, dance, acrobatics, vocals), a countdown with bubbles and kransekage (Danish marzipan ring cake) and, from midnight, a DJ afterparty until 04:00. The minimum age is 12; guests under 18 may not drink alcohol and must leave the building by 00:30. The program is subject to change.
Nytårsfest at Cirkusbygningen (De Gamle Stalde): A second New Year's Eve celebration in the same building, for guests aged 18 and over. Arrival is at 17:00, the King's address with a glass of Champagne follows at 18:00, then a menu with four courses and the Danish language show by Stine & Martin. At 23:59 prosecco and kransekage are served. From 00:45 guests dance until 04:00 in the Cirkussalen to ABBA, Danish pop classics, disco and eighties hits.
New Year Afterparty at Cirkusbygningen: If you only want to dance, you can join from 00:30. A professional DJ plays well known hits from several decades, and champagne and drinks are served. Entry from age 25, closing at 04:00.
Seaside Toldboden (Nordre Toldbod 18 to 24): Welcome champagne, an open bar with cocktails, wine and beer from 22:00 to 02:00, two DJs, and champagne and kransekage at midnight. From the venue you can watch the fireworks over Refshaleøen, Holmen and the Opera House. You can choose between a full experience ticket with a dinner by the head chefs (vegetarian option available) and a party only ticket with open bar.
Paté Paté in the Meatpacking District (Kødbyen): The New Year's Eve party runs from 23:30 to 02:00 with a DJ and an open dance floor. If you want to eat first, an eight course dinner with wine pairing can be booked separately. The organizer gives no age limit or dress code.
Nytår i Teaterkælderen at Det Ny Teater (Vesterbro): From 17:15 until about 02:30 there is a festive menu with unlimited wine during the meal, followed by a bar with beer, wine, soft drinks and standard spirits. From about 21:30 the orchestra of Frederikke Vedel plays live, champagne and kransekage follow at midnight, then a DJ takes over, and a night snack is served at 02:00.
Comwell Copenhagen Portside (Alexandriagade 12, Nordhavn): The evening starts at 17:45 with a glass of bubbly, snacks and the King's address, followed by a six courses menu with sommelier wine pairing. A DJ plays in the lobby, the music ends at 01:30 and the bar stays open until 02:00. Champagne and kransekage are served at midnight.
Copenhagen Marriott Hotel (Kalvebod Brygge 5): Welcome bubbles, a DJ in the bar and a festive New Year's buffet featuring oysters, lobster bisque, striploin, turbot and cheeses, among other dishes. Children aged 6 to 12 pay a reduced price, and seats are limited.
Tivoli Gardens (Vesterbrogade 3): According to event listings, New Year's Eve concerts take place at 12:30 and 15:30, and the fireworks start around 23:00. The restaurants Fru Nimb, Nimb Brasserie and Glassalen offer special New Year's menus, and drinks are served at venues such as Nimb Bar, Nohrlund Bar and the Biergarten.
Cph Urban New Year Half: A New Year's run party for the sporty, starting late in the evening at Langeliniekaj (Østerbro) with a 7 kilometre route, bubbles and a festive mood. Registration runs through the organizer.
More clubs: Dorsia, HIVE, Søpavillonen, ARCH and Blume have hosted big New Year's Eve nights in previous years. For 2026/2027 no confirmed details were publicly available during research, so we deliberately list no times or prices here. Follow the clubs' own channels; tickets are usually released in late autumn.
Traditions at the turn of the year: the King gives his New Year's address at 18:00, which many venues broadcast, and at midnight the clock at City Hall strikes twelve. There is no single central public fireworks display; instead, fireworks go up in every neighbourhood. Popular viewing spots are the Christianshavn Bridge, Amager Strandpark and the harbour baths at Islands Brygge.
Tickets & Admission for New Year's Eve Parties in Copenhagen
Prices are listed in Danish kroner (DKK); the euro amounts are guide values at about 7.46 DKK per euro. Paté Paté charges around 13 euros (95 DKK) for entry, and its dinner costs around 235 euros (1,750 DKK). The party ticket with open bar at Seaside Toldboden is around 107 euros (795), and the full experience ticket with dinner is around 361 euros (2,695); the organizer does not state a currency, so the amounts are presumably in DKK and exclude the ticket fee. The Tivoli New Year's Eve concerts cost around 37 to 107 euros (275 to 795 DKK) including park entry, according to event listings.
Dinner parties: the Marriott charges around 174 euros (1,295 DKK) per adult and around 86 euros (645 DKK) per child. The Teaterkælder at Det Ny Teater costs around 330 euros (2,465 DKK) all inclusive. The Nytårsfest at Cirkusbygningen costs around 301 euros (2,249 DKK, category A with the Gold drinks package) or around 275 euros (2,049 DKK, category B with the Silver drinks package). Comwell Portside charges around 369 euros (2,750 DKK); bar drinks cost extra, payment is due in advance and is non refundable, and with an overnight stay and breakfast the package costs around 506 euros (3,775 DKK) per person in a shared double room. The organizer lists the Wallmans prices on a separate price page. The afterparty at Cirkusbygningen costs around 26 euros (195 DKK), with any remaining tickets available at the door.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Copenhagen
- The Copenhagen Metro runs all night on New Year's Eve, which makes it the easiest ride home after a club night
- Expect cold, windy winter weather around freezing point; warm clothing and using the cloakroom at the club or hotel are recommended
- Book hotels, dinner parties and the most popular tickets early; for restaurants, reservations by mid October are advised
- Check the age limits: depending on the event they are 12, 18 or 25, and many organizers check ID
- Report allergies and menu wishes for dinner parties at least a week ahead, and check the official pages again shortly before the evening, as programs can change
