Event Details

When does Copenhell 2027 take place?

Copenhell runs from Wednesday, 23 June, to Saturday, 26 June 2027; four full nights of programming instead of the usual three. Since 2010, Copenhell has grown into Denmark's biggest metal and rock festival and one of the most important dates for heavy music in Northern Europe.

Where is the festival held?

The venue is Refshaleøen, a former shipyard on Copenhagen's waterfront; concrete, steel and industrial surroundings rather than a rolling meadow. The site sits just a short ride from the city centre and is reachable by bike, bus or harbour ferry in about ten minutes; the compact layout means you can move between stages quickly without missing much.

What can visitors expect?

  • Four stages: Helviti (main stage), Hades, Pandæmonium and Gehenna
  • The 2026 edition featured Iron Maiden, Bring Me the Horizon, A Perfect Circle, Alice Cooper, Volbeat, Trivium, Anthrax, Papa Roach, Social Distortion and BABYMETAL
  • Over 70 acts per edition, spanning established headliners and rising names in the metal scene
  • The Biergarten, known for its own party culture
  • On site camping at the neighbouring Kløvermarken

The official 2027 lineup is announced gradually on the Copenhell website as bands are confirmed.

How can you get tickets?

Copenhell tickets usually go on sale in October or November through official partners (Ticketmaster Denmark and Copenhell itself). Prices and exact sale dates for 2027 have not been published yet; the standard categories are the four day pass, the R.I.P. ticket (access to a separate area with shorter queues) and single day tickets. A separate camping ticket for Kløvermarken is also available.

Practical Tips

  • Book tickets early, since popular categories like R.I.P. sell out quickly.
  • Travel by bike, bus or harbour ferry; the site is close to the city centre.
  • Large bags must be stored in a locker before entering the festival area.
  • Bring weatherproof clothing, since the festival takes place entirely outdoors.
  • Those planning to camp should book the separate Kløvermarken camping ticket.
