For one weekend, the Bahnhofmatte in Kandersteg turns into a western village set against the Bernese Alps. The Country Festival Kandertal brings live music, line dance and western flair right next to the railway station, framed by a striking mountain backdrop.

The festival traditionally runs over three days from Friday to Sunday, with concerts in the festival tent and on several stages alongside a dedicated program in the western village. Sunday is usually reserved for the country church service, brunch and the family day. The detailed program for the 2027 edition has not yet been published.

Typical ticket options include single day passes and combined two or three day tickets, plus a special Sunday ticket including brunch. At the most recently confirmed edition, the Sunday ticket with brunch cost around 43 euros (40 Swiss francs); children up to six enter free and young people receive a discount.
