Welcome to the Dark Troll Festival 2027 in Bornstedt
The Dark Troll Festival takes place from 6 to 8 May 2027 at the historic Schweinsburg castle ruins in Bornstedt. For years it has offered a unique atmosphere for fans of pagan metal, folk metal and black metal amid medieval walls. With a limited capacity of around 1,200 visitors it remains an intense and intimate event.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
Dark Troll Festival runs over three days from 6 to 8 May 2027. Arrival is possible from Wednesday when the campsites open. On the festival days international and national bands perform on the stage of the castle ruins. The line-up is continuously expanded and already includes confirmed acts such as Dordeduh, Saor, Bedrängnis, Asagraum, Munarheim and others. The exact timetable will be published closer to the event. Shows take place during the day and evening and run late into the night.
Tickets & Admission for Dark Troll Festival Bornstedt
Weekend tickets start from approximately 105 Euro and are available via the official website and partner shops. Day tickets cost 60 Euro at the box office. Additional camping and camper tickets are available. Due to the limited capacity tickets sell out quickly. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Bornstedt
- Arrive by car – the road to the castle is closed from Thursday midday; use parking and the shuttle
- Campsites open already on Wednesday; early arrival is recommended
- Book accommodation in Bornstedt or nearby towns (e.g. Eisleben) in good time
- Bring sturdy footwear for the climb to the castle and weatherproof clothing
