When is Defqon.1 2027?
The Defqon.1 Weekend Festival returns to the so called Holy Grounds in Biddinghuizen from 24 to 27 June 2027. Organizer Q dance officially confirmed the date shortly after the close of the 2026 edition, which had to be cut short following the Netherlands' first ever Code Red warning for extreme heat. Under the message "Our journey continues", the entire community is already looking ahead to the return in June 2027.
Where is Defqon.1 held? Biddinghuizen and the Holy Grounds
The festival takes place at Evenemententerrein Walibi Holland in Biddinghuizen, a village within the municipality of Dronten in the Dutch province of Flevoland. The spacious site sits right next to the Walibi Holland theme park and offers room for multiple stages, food courts, chill areas and its own camping city; fans simply know it as the "Holy Grounds".

What is Defqon.1? The world's biggest hardstyle festival
Since its first edition in 2003, Defqon.1 has grown into the world's largest festival for hardstyle, rawstyle, hardcore and uptempo. Around 65,000 visitors a day and over 268,000 attendances (2025 edition) from more than a hundred countries make the four day weekend the undisputed highlight of the harder electronic music scene. Organizer Q dance also runs smaller events such as Q BASE, X Qlusive and Qlimax, and the music premiered at Defqon.1 shapes the hardstyle canon for the entire year.
What's on the program? Highlights and rituals

An official line up for 2027 has not been announced yet; artist reveals are traditionally expected in the months leading up to the festival.
