Welcome to the German Wine Harvest Festival 2026 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse
The German Wine Harvest Festival (Deutsches Weinlesefest) in Neustadt an der Weinstraße is the highlight of the Palatinate wine festival season. From 25 September to 12 October 2026 the city centre turns into a lively festival area with the traditional wine village “Haiselscher”, a colourful fair and Germany’s largest winegrowers’ parade. Palatinate wines, regional specialities and a joyful atmosphere await visitors in the heart of the German Wine Route.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The wine village “Haiselscher” opens daily from 11:00 a.m. (until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, until 10:00 p.m. on other days). From 1 or 2 October the w.i.n.e.FESTival and the fairground join the programme. The highlight is the Grand Winegrowers’ Parade on Sunday 11 October through the city centre. The programme is completed by the election of the wine royals, guided tours and culinary offerings from Palatinate winemakers.
Tickets & Admission for the German Wine Harvest Festival Neustadt
Admission to the main areas (Haiselscher, fairground and parade) is free of charge. Special events such as the election of the German Wine Majesty or selected wine tastings require separate tickets (approx. 39–55 Euro). Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse
- Arrive by train at Neustadt (Weinstraße) station – the festival grounds are right in front
- Pack warm clothing and comfortable shoes for cooler autumn weather
