Welcome to the Dimonis Festival 2027 in Sa Pobla

The Dimonis Festival is the highlight of the Sant Antoni celebrations in Sa Pobla, Mallorca. From 16 to 17 January 2027 the streets and squares of the town turn into a lively stage of fire, music and traditional demon figures. The festivity honours Saint Anthony and has been documented since the 14th century.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

Festivities start in early January with the Novena and first processions. On 16 January the Dimonis and Sant Antoni set off around 14:30 from Plaça de l’Església for a long cercavila through the town. In the evening come the Completes in the church, the traditional cry “Visca Sant Antoni”, the dances on Plaça Major and the large piromusical. On 17 January the solemn mass, the Beneïdes and further processions take centre stage. The exact daily programme will be published in good time by the Ajuntament de Sa Pobla.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Sa Pobla

  • Travel by train or bus from Palma (approx. 50 minutes); Sa Pobla station is on the southern edge of town
  • January can be cool and damp – wear warm, comfortable clothing and closed shoes that can tolerate a little ash
