Welcome to the Dinkelsbühl Christmas Market 2026 in Dinkelsbühl
The Dinkelsbühl Christmas Market 2026 takes place from 23 November to 22 December in the romantic Spitalhof. Under the motto “Ihr Kinderlein kommet”, the town honours its native son Christoph von Schmid and offers a charming Advent atmosphere in one of Germany’s most beautiful old towns. Admission is free.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Christmas market in the Spitalhof is open Monday to Friday from 13:00 to 20:00 and on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 20:00. The arts and crafts market in the concert hall runs in parallel. Daily entertainment includes music, readings and visits by Saint Nicholas. The entire old town is festively illuminated and invites visitors for leisurely strolls.
In addition, the Winterzauber at Altrathausplatz enhances the Advent season and is expected to run until 6 January 2027. Further stalls offer mulled wine, egg punch and snacks. The Winterzauber remains closed on Christmas Eve, 25 December and New Year’s Eve.
Dinkelsbühl Christmas Market 2026 at Spitalhof
The main market is held in the historic Spitalhof. The small, lovingly decorated stall village offers typical Christmas and gift items as well as culinary treats. The market is considered a hidden gem along the Romantic Road and impresses with its calm, authentic atmosphere without large crowds.
Arts and Crafts Market in the Concert Hall 2026
In the concert hall of the Spitalhof, regional artists and craftspeople present unique items made of wood, clay, paper, fabric and felt. At weekends from Friday to Sunday, culinary specialities from the partner cities Guérande, Sighișoara and Edenkoben can also be sampled and purchased. Opening hours match those of the Christmas market.
Winterzauber at Altrathausplatz 2026/2027
The Winterzauber complements the Christmas market and is expected to run from mid-November 2026 until 6 January 2027 daily from 14:00 to 20:00. Visitors can enjoy mulled wine or egg punch while soaking up the festive atmosphere of the old town. The small market is closed on selected public holidays.

- Arrive by car via the A6 or A7; free parking available nearby (e.g. Bleiche car park approx. 250 m away)
- Warm clothing and sturdy shoes are recommended as temperatures in November and December can be cold
