When does Download Festival 2027 take place?
The Download Festival returns to Donington Park from 9 to 13 June 2027. Founded in 2003 on the former Monsters of Rock site, Donington Park is widely regarded as the spiritual home of rock and heavy metal in Britain. Around 80,000 fans are expected to camp on site for a muddy, high energy weekend of classic and modern rock, metal and punk.
Where is Donington Park and how do you get there?
The festival takes place at the famous Donington Park Circuit in Castle Donington, Derbyshire, just a few miles from East Midlands Airport. The nearest mainline stations are East Midlands Parkway (around a 20 minute shuttle) and Derby (around a 30 minute shuttle). By car, the site is reached via the M1 (junction 23a to the A42/A453, or junction 24 to the A453). Big Green Coach also runs official carbon neutral coach services directly to the festival's coach park.
